Who We Are
A ReStore is more than just a furniture or home improvement store — it’s a place to shop, donate, and volunteer.
Our Decon (deconstruction) program is a unique service we offer before a kitchen remodel. We carefully remove cabinets, granite countertops, and appliances, which are then sold in the ReStore. Proceeds help support families in need of affordable housing in the Greater Matthews community.
This program also keeps thousands of pounds of usable materials out of landfills — giving them a second life and helping the environment!
What We Do
We are always looking for volunteers to support our Decon (deconstruction) program.
Deconstruction is a service offered by the Greater Matthews Habitat for Humanity ReStore, where we carefully remove kitchen cabinets, countertops, and appliances prior to a remodel.
Volunteers should be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with carrying granite countertop pieces, cabinets, and appliances.
Tools and safety equipment will be provided.
All volunteers must:
Be 18 years of age or older.
Have a current waiver on file.
Be willing to undergo a background check.
This is a great opportunity to make a hands-on impact while helping reduce waste and support affordable housing in our community.
